Story of The Stone On the Road One day a farmer, walking down the street in a small town came across a large stone in the middle of his path. The farmer complained: "Who could be so careless as to leave such a big stone on the road? Why does someone not remove it?" He went away complaining. The next day, the same thing happened with a milkman. He too went away grumbling but left the stone as it was. Then one day, a student came across the stone. Worried that someone may fall over it and hurt himself, he decided to push it aside. He pushed long and hard all by himself and eventually managed to remove the stone from the path. He came back and noticed a piece of paper where the stone was kept. He picked the paper and opened it. Inside was written, "You are the true wealth of this nation." There are two kinds of people  Talkers and doers. Talkers merely talk, while doers do.  The moral of this story is that if you don't want to get involved you have no right to criticize. Become the change you wish to see in this world. Service to society is the rent we pay for the space we occupy on this earth.

You might have heard the story about the two wolves. If not, here is the refresher.
The old man told his son that a battle between two wolves inside each one of us goes on all the times. First wolf is the Evil character wolf; it produces germs of anger, envy, sorrow, greed, arrogance, stress, lies and tension in our minds. Whereas, the second one is Good character wolf; it generates the energy for hope, peace, happiness, truth, generosity and ethics in our mind, heart and soul. The son asked, so who wins the battle? The old man replied, the one which you feed more!

The story has a superb driving force motivating us to do our self audit. The question is that which wolf we feed daily and how much? If we surround ourselves in negative character people, do back biting, leg pulling, learning tricks to deceive people and talk pessimist events or ideas then definitely we are strengthening the Evil Wolf. On the contrary, if we spend our times with nice and positive people, read good books, focus on solutions, and assist people in resolving their problems then we are encouraging the Good Wolf to overcome the Evil one. In the long run, the Wolf represents our character because eventually our character gets moulded either in to a Good Wolf or Evil Wolf.

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, and all of the others, including Love.
One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all repaired their boats and left.
Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to persevere until the last possible moment.
When the island was almost sinking, Love decided to ask for help.
Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?" Richness answered, "No I can't..There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place for you here."
Love decided to ask Vanity, who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel, "Vanity, please help me!" "I can't help you Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.
Sadness was close by so Love asked for help, "Sadness let me go with you." "Oh...Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"
Happiness passed by Love too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her!
Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come Love, I will take you." It was an elder. Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that he even forgot to ask the elder her name.
When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Love, realizing how much he owed the elder, asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who helped me?"
"It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is.

The Story: The last wishes of Alexander the Great.

On his death bed, Alexander summoned his army generals and told them his three ultimate wishes:

1. Only the best doctors who treated his sickness should carry his coffin to the graveyard...

2. The wealth he has accumulated; money, gold, silver should be scattered along his coffin procession to the cemetery...

3. His hands should be let loose, so they hang outside the coffin for all to see!!

One of his generals who were surprised by these unusual requests asked Alexander to explain.

Here what Alexander the Great had to say:

1. "I want best doctors to carry my coffin to demonstrate that in the face of death; even the best doctors in the world have no power to heal…"

2. "I want the road to be covered with my treasure so that everybody sees that material wealth acquired on earth, will stay on earth...”

3. “I want my hands to swing in the wind, so that people understand that we come to this world empty handed and we leave this world empty handed after the most precious treasure of all is exhausted, and that is : Time.”
